Handmade Highlander Duncan Katana

Description

This iconic Dragon Katana was wielded by Duncan Macleod in the Highlander series and movie Highlander: Endgame. Duncan was given the katana by his mentor Hideo Koto whilst training in Japan. Hideo had been ordered to commit ritual suicide by the shogun for harbouring a foreigner and give the sword to Duncan shortly before his death.

It features an impressively detailed faux ivory dragon-head handle, 420 stainless steel blade and black lacquered scabbard.

This is a hand forged sword and as such is very sharp.

This handmade, traditionally hand forged katana, is made of folded steel. The folding process removes impurities from the steel, leaving only the finest quality steel. It is hammered and heated and hammered and heated until the perfect blade is formed. It is quenched for the perfect hardness. The wooden handle is covered by a closed mouthed dragon done in imitation ivory.
